Networking Is the Essence of Interclean
Every second year cleaning and hygiene professionals from all around the globe get together in Interclean, Amsterdam. The event has been organized since the 60’s and it has grown to become the biggest forum for the cleaning and hygiene business. In Interclean, the participants get to experience what are the newest developments in the industry. This year Interclean takes place on 15-18 May 2018. There are visitors from 130 countries, including us from KiiltoClean, Finland.
Interclean is an important event for us. As the event is international, there are also a lot of our customers from Finland and other countries that we are excited to meet at the fair and discuss the most current topics in the cleaning and hygiene industry. We put a lot of emphasis on cooperation, thus we have arranged visits to meet our cooperation partners for cleaning utensils and machines, such as Lindhaus, Cleanfix and IPC, together with our customers. Of course, we also want to see what the latest novelties are and what new our cooperation partners are developing. Personally, I am looking forward to see what solutions there are regarding Service Design and digitalization. I am greatly interested in keeping track of the changes that take place in the industry and in the whole society. Interclean is an excellent event to sum up where the cleaning and hygiene industry is heading next.
The first time I participated in Interclean was 30 years ago. Even back then, I was impressed with the fact that networking with other professionals was in the core of the event. Compared to Finnish events at that time, people went around the stands and discussed mostly with their existing cooperation partners, whereas Interclean was all about strengthening professional relationships and networking. Exhibitors displayed their latest inventions and the stands were big and impressive.
Since 1988 I’ve attended Interclean almost every single time – I have missed the event only once. The event has evolved during the years but networking is still the main focus. Nowadays, the discussions lead to actions in an earlier stage. Previously the new inventions were exhibited in a completely ready form. Now companies introduce also novelties which they are still working on. This provides an opportunity to have a say to the process and outcome. This is also how our Kiilto Evo dosing system was created. What was only an idea in Interclean few years ago, is today a dosing system that improves safety and saves money for our professional cleaning customers.
This year we will organize KiiltoClean Happy Hour again, as last time we were pleasantly surprised on how successful the get-together was. KiiltoClean Happy Hour takes place on Wednesday 16 May 2018 at 5-7pm at YIP Fellows Pub, close to the Dam Square. The gathering is ideal to drop by before the evening activities. We warmly welcome our customers and cooperation partners to spend a cheerful evening with us and to network with other cleaning and hygiene professionals from Finland and other countries.
